About this treatment
Kativasti is a localised oil retention therapy specifically designed for disorders of the lumbar spine. A reservoir of black gram dough is moulded over the lower back and filled with warm medicated oil, which is held in place for thirty to forty-five minutes.
The sustained heat and herbal action penetrate deep into the vertebrae, discs and surrounding muscles. It is one of the most effective non-invasive treatments for chronic lower back pain, sciatica and degenerative spine conditions.
